Magdalen College School is in the centre of Oxford and has excellent transport links. A significant number of pupils walk, cycle and travel by bus or train to school; we encourage ‘green’ journeys.

Bus routes to Magdalen College School
MCS provides a network of 12 ‘Core Service’ bus routes, offering a home to school solution for pupils who cannot walk, cycle or take public transport. As well as supporting parents and pupils through provision of a safe, reliable and affordable network of coaches, the service is an important part of MCS’s commitment to becoming a more sustainable school.
As well as an AM and PM service, four late coaches provide an option for evening travel for those involved in activities after school. These ’LATE Bus’ services drop off at specific hubs outside of Oxford. We are also delighted to be working with Oxford Bus Company, who provide our day-to-day operational support as well as the online booking portal. Public Transport
Magdalen College School is in the centre of Oxford and is easily reached by public transport. Details of the many bus routes that pass the school can be found at the Oxford Bus Company. For other bus services visit the Oxford Tube and Stagecoach websites. The Traveline website is helpful in researching journeys on public transport, both within the city and further afield.
Pupils can also travel to school by train. Oxford railway station is a 20-30 minute walk from MCS and there are frequent bus services. Further details on rail travel can be obtained from National Rail Enquiries.
Coach and rail travel information is also available on the Trainline app, which provides real-time travel info on the go and tickets to purchase.
