Fashion Forward

J3s enjoyed a day focused on creativity and sustainability in the Junior School Hall, as they welcomed ArkT artist-in-residence, Groovy Su.

Fashion Forward, an Oxford Festival of the Arts outreach project, encouraged the boys to find creative ways in which to recycle, in a series of workshops where they designed items of clothing ready to be modelled at the Festival's ReFashion Fashion Show event during the Arts & Crafts Day. The boys were able to to explore a whole range of art and design skills and techniques, with a designing workshop in the morning and craft session in the afternoon.

Groovy Su has an active community involvement with creating fashion and costume from discarded materials, notably for Cowley Road Carnival and Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival.
