2011 has seen yet another year of record results both at A-Level and at GCSE for MCS students. This year MCS pupils have achieved the best ever results for both sets of exams, and all our students and staff are to be congratulated on such a splendid achievement.

Dr Tim Hands, the Master, said:
"This is yet again a formidable achievement. These are our best results ever. What's particularly significant is the high achievement in demanding and hard subjects - those which universities are now calling for and expecting. 61% of the yeargroup took Maths A-Level with 71% achieving A*s, and in English 73% of the cohort achieved A*s. I am delighted for the pupils, their teachers and their families. MCS remains year on year one of the most consistently high-performing schools in the country."
Nick Fraser, the Academic Deputy, said:
"This is an outstanding year group. A record 37% were offered Oxbridge places this year and these A-Level results are the culmination of hard work, excellent teaching, and sensitive support over many months. This was the first cohort to have embarked upon our highly successful and unique Waynflete Studies Programme and the dividends are apparent. Moreover these pupils have all been involved in many extra-curricular activities which have enhanced their academic performance and contributed to making MCS the fine school that it is."
