The girls’ hockey 1st X1 retained their county title after a hard fought game last night.

The girls finished top in their group drawing with Headington (1-1) and beating both Bloxham (1-0) and Lord Williams (6-0) to advance to the semi-finals. Here they played Tudor Hall where they achieved a dramatic win of 3-1 after having been down 1-0 towards the start. This win meant they continued into the final where they faced St Edwards. After a sensational game, the girls came out winning two goals to none having blocked all of St Edwards’ attempts to score.

This fantastic play has won the girls the county title for the second year running and means they will progress to Regionals after half term.

Congratulations to all the girls who played and we wish them luck for the next stage of competition!
